This was a curated exhibition of HVFAA artists. The brief was a presentation of two paintings: one in the artist’s usual style, the other as an abstracted version of the same subject. My successful submission was was based on reference photos taken of two policewomen on horses riding along Crown Street Surry Hills in the rain. At the time I was interested in painting horses. The exhibition also included an artist talk. The abstraction followed much thought and experimentation as well as attending a number of abstraction workshops.
