I only entered one painting in our annual exhibition at Laurieton. A lot of effort had gone into Pathways to Abstraction preparation, so there wasn’t too many paintings to choose from. I had been experimenting with oil sticks at Jill’s classes, and did a plain air painting of Jill’s garden, which i called “garden delight” and had framed in a plain white frame.
I won my very first award for art: Emerging Artist….a plaque, ribbon and $250. So thrilled with the win.
